Hello Hifi Friends,

I'm attempting my first live stream on YouTube, tonight, (Monday, 2.5.24) at 7pm CST.

The purpose of the live stream is to hang out and answer questions, but I'll also have a stack of cheap CDs (and some vinyl and cassettes) that I've recently purchased to show you in between questions. There are a couple of CDs that surprised me...especially finding a one released by an indie record label I interned for in Los Angeles almost 25 years ago!

I believe you can follow this link today and it will notify you of when the stream begins this evening.

Again, feel free to bring any questions you have and I'll do my best to answer them!

Introducing My New Vintage Booth!

Last summer, I stumbled on an opportunity to open up a vintage booth inside a new antique store, Four Sisters Vintage and Antiques in Murfreesboro, TN.

After a few scheduling setbacks with construction, the store finally opened in November of last year and I have three months of selling under my belt, with sales increasing each month!

It's been a lot of fun stocking this booth with vinyl, cassettes, CDs, shirts and stereo gear, but the items that sell the fastest are always...VCRs! Each time I drop one off at the booth, it sells within 24 hours. Wild.

This year I've also signed up for selling at more record or vintage shows, starting with the first DIG show that took place in Franklin, TN, back in January. That show was a huge hit and I hope it happens again later this year.

In the meantime, I have three shows coming up, two in March and one in April. I will send more info on those as they are officially announced.

I'm always on the lookout for people selling their vinyl, cassette or CD collections to stock the booth so let me know if you'd be interested or know anyone downsizing their collection!

That's all for now - I will send some more specific gear info on items I've reviewed in my next newsletter.

Hope to see you tonight on YouTube!

Keep it analog,

Aaron

Hi Everyone, I love all things analog, but I grew up mostly listening to CDs and therefore have owned many traditional CD players over the years. As vinyl prices continue to rise, I've begun to venture back into the digital world (who can pass up a CD copy of Miles Davis' A Silent Way CD for just $1?) and stumbled into the rabbit hole of external DACs and CD transports. What is a CD transport? In short, it's a CD player that does not have an internal DAC so you have to connect it to an...

Hi Everyone, I review a lot of audio gear which requires moving products in and out of my home audio system. Some of these components are brand new while others are vintage. I now own a handful of products that make using vintage gear much easier and I wanted to share those quickly with you. (Should you consider purchasing these items, I will earn a small commission which helps fund my purchases of new products to review.) Hi Everyone, I recently purchased a broken turntable from a member of my family whose Dad, the table's original owner, passed away last year. Actually, I didn't know the turntable was broken at the time I purchased it, but once I got it home and plugged everything up, the platter would not stop spinning. Also, the ground cable was missing from the table which resulted in a horrible hum while in operation. The turntable is a Technics SL-D30, a line of tables that I personally love. This is a...
