Hi Everyone,

Welcome to the new subscribers here at the Forever Analog newsletter. I just passed 300 subscribers and to be honest, of all the numbers out there for Forever Analog, (3k Instagram followers, 6.5k YouTube subs, etc), this 300 is the most special to me.

Thank you for joining me here to talk about my audio journey and reviewing products that hopefully can help you build a great audio system as well.

(Insert Andrew Gold's Thank You For Being A Friend here)

That being said, I realized this newsletter wasn't allowing replies and have corrected the issue, so please feel free to drop me a reply here, I love reading your emails, thoughts and answering questions as needed!

Let's jump into this weeks updates...

TWIN POWER!

I have bought (and sold) several Harman Kardon 430 receivers over the years and I was able to get my hands on another one a few weeks ago.

I couldn't wait to make a proper YouTube video about this receiver because people are paying out the you-know-what for vintage audio receivers and this is one that consistently flies under the radar and can still be found for a great price.

One of the things that makes this receiver so special is its "Twin Power" feature, which means it has dual power supplies, one for each channel, allowing for better channel separation and audio playback.

Even better, it can often be found for less than $300, which is a steal considering what people are paying for units by Marantz, Pioneer and Sansui.

Aiyima A01 Pro

I've reviewed a lot of class D amplifiers since starting my YouTube channel last year. Honestly, the companies have reached out to me and have been gracious in sending me products to review and as someone who is operating his channel in the red (meaning I buy all the products I review), it's nice to review these amps when I'm saving up to buy a new item.

That being said, after reviewing the stack of gear above, I find myself trying to determine what exactly stands out with these amps, as I feel like I'm reviewing the same product over and over.

Well, thankfully the Aiyima A01 Pro has one feature that makes it stand out from the rest of the amps I've reviewed.

If you'd like to learn more about this feature, please click on the video link below:

Schiit Rekkr Blog Review

This weekend I posted my blog review of the Schiit Rekkr amplifier, a tiny little 2 watt amp that I've fallen in love with for my office audio listening system.

Check out my full review here.

Hello Hifi Friends, I'm attempting my first live stream on YouTube, tonight, (Monday, 2.5.24) at 7pm CST. The purpose of the live stream is to hang out and answer questions, but I'll also have a stack of cheap CDs (and some vinyl and cassettes) that I've recently purchased to show you in between questions. There are a couple of CDs that surprised me...especially finding a one released by an indie record label I interned for in Los Angeles almost 25 years ago! I believe you can follow this...

Hi Everyone, I love all things analog, but I grew up mostly listening to CDs and therefore have owned many traditional CD players over the years. As vinyl prices continue to rise, I've begun to venture back into the digital world (who can pass up a CD copy of Miles Davis' A Silent Way CD for just $1?) and stumbled into the rabbit hole of external DACs and CD transports. What is a CD transport? In short, it's a CD player that does not have an internal DAC so you have to connect it to an...

Hi Everyone, I review a lot of audio gear which requires moving products in and out of my home audio system. Some of these components are brand new while others are vintage. I now own a handful of products that make using vintage gear much easier and I wanted to share those quickly with you. (Should you consider purchasing these items, I will earn a small commission which helps fund my purchases of new products to review.) Banana To Spade Adapter Plug If you have a vintage amplifier that uses...
